After months of development, the new Island View gallery website was finally launched today. The previous website website served the gallery well over the past seven years but owner Dwain Noel felt it was time for a fresh new look and improved functionality. The new website provides an overview of the company, services provided, art gallery, client testimonials, a blog that will be updated regularly and contact information with Google Maps. The art gallery features over 600 prints from over 60 Newfoundland and Labrador artists. The user can narrow down their search with the site map, site search, artist pages, tags and archives. User commenting and rating has also been added. As with the previous website, the biggest feature is the custom online framing which allows the user to select their desired frame, mats and wall colour for every print on the website. They can then submit an order request that saves those selections. The website also features a Content Management System that Island View Gallery can use to easily add and edit content. In addition to the website, there is also a Facebook and Twitter page. The website was designed and developed by local graphic designer Troy Templeman.
